this time we will look at options in professional fields.

when i look at the www the only answer that comes in my mind is www.linkedin.com

this site has been designed to be able to act as a bridge between workers and employers, prospective employers, overall a network where professional connections are made. which can on one side help a employer find good and resourceful employee’s and on the other ends find allows employees to get to know about their prospective employer.

even if you are not in the business on employer and employee then also getting in touch with professional in any field is very easy in this site.

From 28 september 2007, professional social network LinkedIn will have an option to upload a photograph.its a clear move to stand tall against the growing popularity of facebook.

Although it might be a welcome move from many due to the normal human tendency of recognizing faces more then names.

but it will have its negative impact too.

coz if we are visiting a current linkedin profile we are more inclined towards the qualifications, and we have no set image of a person till we meet personally.
but photographs adds a personal touch as well as act as a first impression.

but in the end, all that matters is what the mass likes.

following yesterday’s downtime,

invitation feature seems to be changed.

yahoo has been finally removed from the webmail list.(yahoo id’s other then that of .com domain were facing problems from a few days in importing contacts)

now gmail contact fething code seems to be in some problem

after giving username and password for gmail the script correctly list the number of potiencial connections but is unable to list the list of connections.

i have tried this with only my gmail id coz i have only gmail id’s don’t know about other web mails may be they might also be having simmiar problems

i am also including a screen shot of the page which is taken after 15 minutes of submission of form
it is correctly displaying the no of new connection possible but is unable to show its list

There is no problem with computer(3GHz, 512MB ram) and the connection (300Kbps)
